The New Testament word “deacon” literally means servant. A deacon is a servant. At Glenview, the Deacon Ministry focuses on just that – SERVICE. The deacons strive to serve the Lord through ministry to others. That ministry takes many forms – teaching, contacting those who visit our church, changing oil for single moms, prayer, just to name a few. The goal of Glenview’s deacon ministry is simply that, to minister to others through service, and to support our staff as they lead our church. If you have a need, do not hesitate to ask a deacon, we are here to serve and minister to you. Our deacons wear a red name badge on Sundays to help our members and guests in locating them for assistance
Mentoring
Are you a guy who has never had someone you would call a “mentor”? Have you ever wanted a mentor, someone that can walk alongside you in your walk with Christ? Our deacons are mature believers who want to serve.
