Serve The World

Missions: Impact!

Looking for a way to make a global impact? In this area of our website, it is our hope that you will be able to find a way to help us accomplish our goal of making disciples who: love God, love each other, and serve the world. This is the place where you find out exactly where you can “serve the world.” God designed each of us to make a difference, to make an IMPACT! Each of us has unique opportunities to share and show Jesus Christ to a lost world on a day to day basis.

In these pages, you will find pages filled with opportunities that provide hope and encouragement to a lost world. These projects are not for the “Superman” of Christianity or even ones with great talent. Instead, they are for the ordinary, everyday individuals and families who desire to be used by God in a variety of ways.

We have determined to be life-changers in the world today. With God on our side, we have committed to bring life, hope, faith, and change to the world that is around us. We want you to join us where God is moving and make an IMPACT on the world around us. To be a part of any of these IMPACT opportunities, please contact me by email or phone! I look forward to seeing you making an IMPACT!

Thank You

A Thank You - from the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department County Chaplain David Barrett, for the food provided by Glenview Church at Christmas for county employees struggling financially

This past Friday Ellen and I handed out the last packages and boxes of food. When we finished the last one  we commented to each other, “This has been a good Christmas!” We had fewer numbers, but the ones we helped were facing very hard times. Their stories could make one cry.

As is true every year, Ellen and I had the great joy of being the “face” of the giving as we helped load vehicles. It ran the emotional gamut of literally jumping with joy to still sitting in the vehicle crying as we were going back into the building. Everyone seemed so grateful.

While Ellen and I are the “face” and receive the instant reward of their reaction, I believe each of you have a greater reward in store. You are the “silent partners” in this endeavor, but it could never have happened without you. The recipients do not know who it is that gave and shopped, but I do and on their behalf I thank you. More importantly, the One Whose birth we celebrate; Who said that not even a cup of water given would go without reward; is aware and will reward you for your kind and giving spirit. He who sees in secret will reward you openly. I don’t know how or when, but He will.

Thank you for what you have done for others. For us all, I join my prayers with that of Dickens’s Tiny Tim, “God bless us, everyone.”

Merry Christmas,

Chaplain Barrett
