Children’s Life Groups

Life Groups are not only a way to minister the love of Jesus to children, but also an opportunity to reach them for Christ and build within them a deep and lasting relationship with our Heavenly Father. Life Groups take place during both the 9:23am and 10:50am services. Below is a list of Life Groups.

Kid’s Worship

Kid’s Worship is an opportunity for all children grades 1st – 4th to worship and serve our Heavenly Father. Kid’s Worship is made up of exciting, yet, intimate music followed by a creative and simple presentation of Biblical truths that children can apply to their lives.

AWANA

AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed – 2 Timothy 2:15. AWANA is for 3 yr olds (by Sept) to 5th grade and meets every Wednesday night    during the school year. This is a unique ministry that offers kids a chance to learn why they believe what they believe and to spread the Gospel to others.

World Adventure Tour

A ministry offered during the summer months on Wednesday nights. Children (completed Kindergarten through 4th grade) get a chance to hear about what God is doing all around the world through the lives of real missionaries.

Children of Praise (COP)

It is a time of preparing and equipping young hearts and minds for worship, praise and glorifying God. This ministry is for boys and girls PreKindergaten through 5th grade and meets each Wednesday night during the school year.

Shema Classes

Shema Classes is the New Christians Class designed specifically for children to attend with their parents. It is offered every quarter at 9:23am for 3rd – 6th graders, and 10:50am for Kindergarten – 2nd Grade. Before a child is baptized, it is our desire to disciple them in their faith. The Shema Classes cover topics such as: Understanding Salvation, Baptism, The Lord’s Supper, and The Makings of a Disciple. Each of these topics is covered in each of the weeks. Below is the 2012 schedule for Shema:

February 5, 12, 19, and 26
May 6, 13, 20, and 27
August 5, 12, 19, and 26
November 4, 11, 18, and 25

Chosen

A unique ministry for students grades 6-10. CHOSEN involves music, dance, step and creative percussion to share the message of Christ. CHOSEN meets every Wednesday during the school year ot 6:00pm in the Choir Room.

Birthday Parties

Parties Under the Shade Tree

Welcome to Parties Under the Shade Tree. It is an honor to be able to open our doors and offer our facilities to your family in an effort to provide the opportunity for your children to have the birthday of a lifetime. Below is general information about the Birthday Parties and how to go about reserving your date.

We open the booking schedule in June of each year for the upcoming year. If you would like to book a party, please call Mandy at 817-281-3361, ext. 247 or send her an email at shadetreeparty@gmail.com. Your party is not booked until the Party Coordinator has checked the schedule for an opening and contacted you.

WHO:

The parties are held for any child up to 12 years old looking for a fun and exciting party. As parents, you will enjoy care free party planning. You do not have to be a church member to book a party at Glenview.

WHAT:

The parties are 2 hours long – the 1st hour is spent in the Playscape and the 2nd hour is in the party room. Food, drinks, and opening of gifts will take place in the party room. (The last 15 minutes of the 2nd hour is clean-up.)

WHEN:

Parties are held on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of every month (with the exception of January 2011 which will then be the 2nd and 4th Saturdays) and are available at the times of: 10:00am, 11:00am, 12:00pm, 1:00pm, 2:00pm and 3:00pm.

COST:

Glenview hosts these parties as a ministry to our community. A suggested minimum donation of $75.00 will help insure that we will be able to continue this unique ministry in the years to come.

In order to book your party, a $35.00 non-refundable donation deposit is required. Your party will not be booked until the deposit is received. Deposits should be mailed to or brought by the church office (attn: Birthday Parties). The remaining donation may be given the day of the party.

  • CUPS & FORKS (white only)
  • NAPKINS & PLATES, (red, blue, yellow, green, & orange)
  • TABLECLOTHS (red or white)
  • BALLOONS (red, blue, yellow, green & orange)
  • LEMONADE

You may bring any food or other decorations that are approved. As a reminder, we have no storage space for ice cream and please keep the guest list to a maximum of 20 children.
